Although not officially recognized, the effectiveness of Yellow Dock has been documented for the above four conditions. In homeopathic medicine, it is used for cough, itching, pain, and respiratory tract disorders.

Traditionally used as a "blood cleanser," the medicinal part of rumex crispus is the root.
